Online "community" overload
Well, I finally gave in to temptation… I too now have an account at facebook.com. Up till now I had resisted membership on the grounds that I was sufficiently networked though online portals. I mean, you would thing that between myspace, a personal blog, xanga, collegefacebook (what a cheap rip-off of a scam), and blogger (which I never use) you would THINK that I would have plenty accounts to keep up with my friends and let them know what’s happening in my life. But noooooo, some "new" punk has to come along and build a new community site that catches on like wildfire. *sigh* Well, luckily for me facebook isn’t nearly as much of a scam as collegefacebook was and I’ve actually found a few high school friends there that I haven’t talked to in forever. So call me a sellout if you must but it’s a done deal and now I’m a full fledged member of yet another online community and lovin every second of it.
[Edit] In, um, honor of my plethora of personal websites I updated the About Me page with a handy further stalking section where I will list such sites. Enjoy!
Website of the day: Retro Junk Beth found this site last night & proceeded to sing along with 80% of the 90s TV show theme songs. For those who don’t know my TV watching habits, or lack thereof, I didn’t grow up watching much TV. This is partially because of living in Mexico 3 years during my childhood but also just kinda my personality. Sure I recognized some of the big shows like Saved by the Bell and such but really didn’t identify with much other than Star Trek: Next Generation (what a great show
) But I digress, this site has an amazingly huge collection of old movie trailers, TV show intros, and commercials! So for the TV lovers out there, go on get nostalgic.
