Sunrise in the Andes
After a day of coding I found myself yearning for a little digital art. So I dug through my “Pictures to Photoshop” folder and came across a set of photographs I took my last morning in Caraz during SST. I had to get up extra early that morning and, glancing out the window of my room, noticed the tip of a nearby peak glowing orange. I just couldn’t resist the opportunity. Over the next 20 minutes I managed to snap a shot every 45 seconds or so with spurts of tooth brushing and packing in-between each frame. Of course, I didn’t have a tripod so I just tried to stand in the same place and get the same amount of window frame in each shot
I had almost forgotten about the photos until just today and while it was a bit time intensive to get all of the shots lined up I am quite happy with the outcome! I ended up putting the final movie together using a pretty sweet app named FotoMagico (you should definitely check it out if you’re a Mac user). I hope you enjoy the show!
(Note: If you are having trouble with the movie try clicking twice, or watch here.)
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the music is from the song “Hasta Que Ya No Respire Mas” by Rojo, a tune we sang at the youth church services (MJ) in Lima.
