Ink Blots

This past weekend Beth and I made a weekend get-away to Chicago. Riding the ‘L’ downtown a middle-aged man with bright blue headphones sat across from us listening to his walkman. I didn’t think much of him until we were nearing our stop. He leaned towards me and said “I like your shirt, It makes a lot of sense.” This caught me completely off guard. I bought my shirt a week or two ago, and while I like it, I never expected for it to be a source of inspiration or sublime truth. But my fellow train rider’s comment got me thinking about symbols in life and how we interpret them. Later that evening, I asked Joel & Naomi (our hosts) what they made of the shirt and they gave completely different, tho equally surprising, interpretations. So now I present you with the same opportunity to share and learn. Take a minute to look at the image and jot down what comes to mind. Ideally, I would love if you left a comment explaining what you make of the image.

  1. Just so you know… the reason I bought this shirt was pretty much because of the awesomely punny title… Pandamonium. :-D

  3. For me it shows that the panda means peace and love, and the tanks and helicopters with bombs is a symbol for war, btw pandas are my favorite animals

Yup, you can even use smileys :-) if you want. Almost every standard MSN and AIM smiley is available. When in doubt, use the MSN text. One more thing, noses are a must [ aka :-) not :) ] and case is irrelevant.
